Chelsea brings nearly three decades of equestrian expertise and a life-long commitment to animal welfare to Semper Fi Fields. Her journey began in 1997, evolving quickly into a decorated competitive career. By 1999, she was already securing "Champion" titles, a momentum she carried through her years in FFA and 4H, eventually earning honors such as the Double Diamond Western Novice Award and the High Point Junior Western Award.

Her diverse competitive background spans the full spectrum of horsemanship. From the power required to clear 5'3" jumps to the refined balance of Dressage, she understands the mechanics of the horse’s body at an elite level. Her deep knowledge of Dressage serves as the "Tactical Core" of her training philosophy, using the training scale—rhythm, suppleness, and contact—to improve every horse, whether they are headed for a Western Pleasure win or a safe day on the trail.

Chelsea’s training methodology is rooted in the belief that patience is the ultimate tactical advantage.
Her philosophy is built on three core pillars:
● Pressure & Release: Using the horse’s natural language to communicate clearly and fairly. By providing the "release" at the exact moment of effort, she builds a horse that is eager to find the right answer.
● Positive Reinforcement: Rewarding progress to foster a willing and "Always Faithful" partner.
● The Behavioral Reset: Since 2011, she has applied these principles to "bombproof" horses through tactical desensitization, ensuring they are confident in any environment.
